The 2022 Summer Reading Program theme is Oceans of Possibilities:
This year will be our first full Summer Program in the new space! All ages are welcome for weekly story hour and crafts around this year’s theme. Each program will start at 10 am and take place at the library.
Look closely with our guest presenter, Jan Schwarz. We will examine sand, sea shells, coral, and more using microscopes and hand held magnifiers.
This week we’ll read about the narwhal, sea turtles, and rainbow fish.
We’ll also make puppets!
How many different kinds of boats are there? We will do some experimenting with objects which sink and float. We will also build some simple boats from a variety of materials.
Author Angela Kunkel will be visiting to tell us about writing books including her book, Penguin Journey.
What lives in the sea? What about down deep on the ocean floor? We’ll take a look at places where creatures live in, on, and above the sea. Celebrate by crafting ocean collage pictures with us.
2020’s theme was A Magical Summer. Click here for the socially distanced events.
2021’s theme was Tales and Tails and ran from July 10th through August 7th. Due to the disorganization of the move, we made only one post about the program.
