Weather is warming up, school is nearing its end, and we’re starting to gear up for the summer. Here are our upcoming events for this May:

Mentoring Recruiting Event

Join us to learn about the Monkton Mentoring Program.

Story Hour
Sat, May 11, 10am – 11am
Join us at the library for a read-aloud with the Lead Librarian. All ages welcome!

Stitch and Spin
Sun, May 19, 10am – 1pm
Join us for a monthly spin and stitch-in! All fiber crafts welcome.

Trustee Meeting
Tue, May 21, 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Our monthly board meeting that gathers the trustees and librarians. The public is invited to attend. This month will likely be all about planning the Strawberry Festival.

Ethical Wildcrafting with Julie Mitchell
Thu, May 23, 5:30pm – 8:00pm
$20 – email to reserve a spot
This class will cover ethical and accurate wild-crafting, seasonal gathering, harvest and storing of herbs, and plant identification.

Story Hour
Sat, May 25, 10am – 11am
Join us at the library for a read-aloud with the Lead Librarian. All ages welcome!

Storytelling Workshop
Thu, May 30, 6pm – 8pm
Come learn about the experiences of a series of storytellers at the library! All are welcome, though this will be an adult-aimed event.

Homeschool Group
Fri, May 31, 9:30am – 11:30am
Homeschool families welcome to this all-ages gathering at the library. Discuss your strategies, hang out, try some big group activities.

And don’t forget our Toddler Tuesdays (3-5 pm)and After School Thursdays (3-5 pm)! These are WEEKLY events going on in the library itself. No pressure, just stop in if you’re interested in hanging out.
